Where to Measure to Pick Out Correct Lippert SolidSteps for RV

Question:
My door have a flange, do I measures to the flange are passed it for width? 35” from ground to bottom of door, 28 inches from flange to flange, inside door or do I order to wall frame of door?

What kind of gap is required between the threshold and screen door also main door ? So doors close easy without binding
