Which Way Should the Opening Face on a Single Axle Trailer with Slipper Springs

Have a trailer single axle and the slipper is facing the front do I need to change them or is ok like that?

Expert Reply:
The opening or knuckle of a slipper spring will need to be facing the rear of your trailer. If the opening is facing the front of the trailer then you are going to experience excessive bouncing and a ride that would be very rough. Therefore, I do recommend changing the leaf springs around. In order to do this you are more than likely going to need new leaf spring hangers.
