Video Transcript for etrailer Trailer Suspension - Leaf Spring Suspension - 721584 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the front hanger for 2 inch ride slipper springs. This is 3 and 3/4 inch tall and it uses a 9/16 diameter bolt hole. This is configured as the front hanger provides the attachment point for the front of the leaf spring which is the end that has the eye in it. This hanger will suspend the spring from the trailer frame. This part is designed for trailers with 3,500 pound to 9,000 pound axles. Again, it's designed to fit 2 inch wide slipper springs.

The hole right here is the 9/16 diameter, so it is designed to work with a 9/16th diameter bolt. Which we do sell separately on our website and the hanger itself measures 1/4 inch thick and the 3 and 3/4 inch height is measured the top to the center of the hole where the bolt goes through. So you can see if we put a ruler on that, there's your 3 and 3/4 inches tall. That should do it for the review on the front hanger for 2 inch ride slipper springs. 3 and 3/4 inches tall and a 9/16 bolt hole..

One year later and I have a good trailer. It does what I need it to do and my only challenge is keeping my Freinds from barrowing when I need it.

  • Are there Bolt On Spring Hangers?
Sorry about your troubles but we do have a some spring hangers that can be attached with 9/16" bolts. I have listed a few of them below: Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 1-9/32" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole - Single Axle Only item # 93003-3X Rear Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs - 5-1/16" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole item # 721585 Front Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs - 3-9/16" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole item # 721584 Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 3-5/8" Tall - 9/16" Bolt...

  • Recommended Replacement 2" Slipper Spring Equalizer 3-3/4" Tall
I think I have a better option for your trailer with the dimensions that you provided in the Front Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs part # 721584. This hanger is designed for 2" wide slipper springs, has a 9/16" center hole, and measures 3-9/16" from the center of the bolt hole to the top of the hanger where it installs on the frame. This is a bit closer to the dimension you provided but you could also still go with the Front Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs part # 28-1 as well. In...

  • Replacement Spring Hangers And Suspension Components For 8,000 lb Axles
I can certainly point you in the right direction on a few of the parts you will need. Unfortunately we do not carry a 20-3/4" long equalizer, so we do not have any kits that would accommodate that hanger size and axle spacing. We do have a few hanger kits for 2" wide slipper springs like the # H202. This comes with 4-1/4" tall front hangers, 3-1/2" tall center hangers and 5-1/4" tall rear hangers. We do not have any hangers that are 7" tall. We do have the Wet equalizer bolt # TRFA71063,...

  • Dimensions of Hangers Included with Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2" Slipper Springs APS6SE
The front hangers in kit # APS6SE are # 721584. They measure 3-3/4 inches from the top to the center of the mounting hole. The hole is 9/16 inches in diameter. The holes that are in the top are not for bolting the hanger. They are there to mount the hangers using button welds. Very few hangers are designed to be bolted on. The rear hangers in the kit are # 721585. They measure 5-1/6 inches tall from the top to the center of the 9/16 inch diameter hole. It also features the 2 holes for...

  • Availability of 3-3/4 Inch Tall Hanger for Trailer Suspension
The only 3-3/4 inch hanger we have available is the etrailer.com Front Hanger # 721584. This front hanger is designed for 2 inch slipper springs and works with 9/16 inch diameter bolts. Also note that this 3-3/4 inch measurement is taken from the top of the hanger to the center of the bolt hole. If you are not measuring your existing hanger in this manner (and instead measuring its overall length), please let me know its bolt hole to top of hanger dimension and I will be happy to make a...

  • What Hangers Do I need For My Heartland Cyclone 5th Wheel Toy Hauler?
The CRE3000 Equalizers # MR59ZR are a great choice for an equalizer upgrade, but there is not a specific hanger set that would go with them. I can definitely help and point you in the right direction. Now, I do not have a way to know specs on your hangers based on a make and model of camper. If only it were so easy! When replacing hangers it is important that we get the height of the hanger correct. This was we can retain the factory ride height. For example part # 28-5 is a very common...

Since your Nev-R-Lube axles are 3-1/2" in diameter the only solution we have for you is to install longer hangers on your axle suspension. I have attached a link to our selection of hangers that you can filter through to find the correct ones for your application. For example, our Front Hanger # 721584 is for 2" wide slipper springs. • Which Way Should the Opening Face on a Single Axle Trailer with Slipper Springs
The opening or knuckle of a slipper spring will need to be facing the rear of your trailer. If the opening is facing the front of the trailer then you are going to experience excessive bouncing and a ride that would be very rough. Therefore, I do recommend changing the leaf springs around. In order to do this you are more than likely going to need new leaf spring hangers. I have attached a link with a selection of our leaf spring hangers for you. You will need to filter by width and height...
