Question:

Hello I have a 2005 dodge ram 4x4 w/5.9L diesel with fifth wheel hitch. Purchased in 2011 and it came with firestone ride rite bags on truck. I recently blew out an air bag as i found out it was rubbing on a fifth wheel hitch bolt. the upper bracket is stamped with 5376 which i researched to kit F2071. And an air bag f6781. I do not believe the correct kit was installed. Im sure if i were to shim the bracket out some i could avoid the hitch bolt. However i am also thinking about installing the correct kit. Could you please let me know what my options are. I installed a firestone kit with compressor and tank w/individual control to each bag on my father inlaws 2003 dodge 2500 years bavk and really liked that set up. Just a side note. The correct Firestone suspension kit for your 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 is the Firestone kit part # F2701. This will work well in your truck and then for a compressor kit similar to the dual path you described we have the Firestone Air Command II part # F2168 which would work well.
