Question:
I am looking at a Triple Crown utility trailer. It is equipped with 4.80 x 12inch Load Star tires. I want to upgrade the tires. Should the Kenda ST145/R12 tires fit on these rims? Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
Your current 4.80 x 12 tires and the Kenda 145/R12 tires, part # AM10140, both fit on a 4 inch rim so you can use your same rims. However, you want to makes sure you have clearance for the larger tires since they're over half an inch taller and more than 3/4 of an inch wider. You want 3 to 4 inches from the tire tread to the fenders and at least 1 inch between the sidewall and the closest part of the trailer.
