Question:

I appreciate the pic of how it looks inside the shower stall, but it is still not clear how that works, going from outside to inside? do you unclip one end to refold it or something?

There are a total of four pivot points on the Stromberg Carlson Extend-A-Shower Shower Curtain Rod part # EXT-3542S. The bar has two pivot points and each mounting foot has a pivot point. The pivot points will allow you to flip the rod in or out depending on if it is in use or not. We do not have a video of this but I have attached a photo for you which shows the bar in the inward and outward position.

No, you do not need to detach or remove any pins to fold the Stromberg Carlson Extend-A-Shower Shower Curtain Rod part # EXT-3542S inward/outward. As previously mentioned, there are pivot points on the bar. In order to fold the bar in or out you will need to simply push/pull the points.
