Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 56083 that you installed on your 2010 Lexus RX 350 will only work on models with the factory tow package. If you do not have the factory tow package then the correct harness for you would be the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55563. This option will attach directly to the battery for power as you can see in the attached install video.
If you have called the dealer with your VIN and confirmed that you do indeed have the factory tow package then you are going to want to check the 30 amp fuse in the # 44 position on the fuse box located underneath the hood of your Lexus. If this fuse is blown then you will need to replace it. If this fuse is not present then it is a good indication that you do not have the factory tow package and have purchased the wrong harness.
