Where to Find Brake Output Circuit Wire for 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Brake Controller Install

Question:

You said the green/ble wire Jeep ran from the rear is by the emergency brake, my Jeep has the pull handle beside the center console. Is that where to look for it? I’ve looked all over and can’t find it!! Thanks in advance!

When Jeep installed the factory 7-way on the third generation Grand Cherokee, they ran the brake output circuit from the 7-way under the vehicle and into the passenger cabin below the dash. The output wire is either light green or blue in color, and should be bundled up by the emergency brake area (if a pedal style was used). The wire should have a tag or sticker that says 'trailer brake.'

If for some reason your vehicle just does not have that circuit you can bypass the headache of trying to find it by running that wire from the blue wire of the controller back to the 7-way of your jeep. For that we have 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which is sold by the foot.
