Curt 4-Pole Wiring Harness C55363 Installation in 1999 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

Hi I bought a CURT 55363 Custom Wiring Harness for my 1999 Jeep Wrangler to haul a trailer. I hooked the harness up as the instructions said and everything worked but when I went to check the turn signals it was opposite. When I pull down to turn right the left blinker on the trailer comes on. Same for the right. I thought maybe the trailer was wired backward so I switched the harness around and the same thing happened I am stumped. It is a 4 prong connecter.

Curt 4-pole wiring harness # C55363 is a correct fit for your 1999 Jeep Wrangler. If you find that the turn signals are reversed for left and right this just means you need to switch the plug-in connectors to the opposite sides of the vehicle. The connectors with the yellow wire should plug in at the left/driver side tail light; the connector with the green wire should connect on the right/passenger side light.
