Question:
Im interested in Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR because the control can be hidden and placed out of the way. In the video install of this on a 2012 Toyota 4runner, you show the controller mounted on the back side of console so only 2 screws are shown. Is there enough space to mount this control similarly on my vehicle 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0 FWD with Tow Package? Also, we have a spare port near the heated seat controller that would work well for the control knob. The 4runner video also stated that you have to be sure there is enough clearance behind those ports for the switch housing. Do you guys know if there enough clearance in my vehicle?

We have the dimensions on the main unit and control knob for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR, but unfortunately we have not had the opportunity yet to install one of these on a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0 FWD so I don't have a way to confirm if it would fit on my end.
The main unit measures 3-3/8" long x 3-15/16" wide x 1-1/8" tall and the control knob measures 2-3/8" long x 3/4" wide x 7/8" tall. I have linked some photos with these dimensions marked so you can take some measurements on your Santa Fe to see if you have enough clearance.
If your tow package came with a 7-Way then there is most likely some wiring under your fdriver side dash that you can use a circuit tester # PTW2992 to verify the functions to match up with the pigtail from the Tow-Pro Elite. If you only have a 4-Way then you will want to follow the same installation steps of the Kit # ETBC7 for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 that I have linked.
