Does the Stabilizer Strap for a Curt Hitch on a 2011 HHR Need to be Used for a Single-Bike Bike Rack

Stabilaztion strap needed? Like the title says. The only upright that the strap would possibly attach to is by the front wheel which is pretty far to the side. Since this is only for 1 bike is the strap needed? The rack will be used on a Chevy HHR 2011.

If you are wanting to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11447 on your 2011 Chevrolet HHR then a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 would need to be used according to Curt's warranty. The warranty simply says any non-trailer load so even a single bike rack would fall under that.
With that being said, where you attach the strap doesn't matter at all. You could actually just loop it over the crossbeam of the RockyMounts HighNoon FC Solo Bike Rack # RKY87RR and then back to your vehicle if that works best.
For a trailer hitch that fits your HHR and doesn't require the use of a stabilizer strap you could go with the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24756.
