Maximum Wheel Thickness for Americana Metal Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906

Question:

Application: Alloy wheels on a Honda Accord. Question: what is the maximum wheel thickness the AM20906 valve stem can accommodate? Every other conceivable question seems to be answered, but not this. etrailer is the best. thanks.

I spoke with my contact at Americana regarding the Metal Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906 referenced in your question and he stated that they do not have this particular maximum/dimension listed. The valve is designed for trailer wheels and should fit pretty much any trailer wheel thickness.

I did go out to our warehouse to take a quick measurement on the valve. I measured from the bottom of the gasket to the bottom of the nut when the nut is as far up as it can go and still be completed threaded. There was a distance of right at a 1/2 inch, so this should give you a good idea as to the wheel thickness it can accommodate.
