Will the etrailer Cargo Carrier Part # e98874 Block the Taillights on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:

I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm thinking about buying e98874. How can I determine if I will need to move my license plate and have issues with tail light visibility? Is there a better option so I wont have to do anything with either of them? Thanks.

I have attached an etrailer Cargo Carrier part # e98874 on a similar 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee as yours.. I found that the carrier while folded down will not interfere with the visibility of the license plate or taillights. The carrier while folded up in the upright storage position will block the license plate partially but there is really no way around this aside from relocating the plate.

You can add lights to the carrier using both part # e98943-44LED should you require additional lighting.
