Question:
As mentioned earlier. The unloaded trailer about 2,700lbs Tongue unloaded about 340lbs GVTW 4000lbs Tongue weight incl propane, battery plus front storage stuff and weight over rear axle total approximate 470lbs. I have been looking at Husky Centerline ts. 400 /600 tw 6000bs Or Reese Stedi Flex same weight guideline. Or Equal-i-zer #EQ37060ET same weight guidelines My trailer frame where the L brackets are mounted vertical surface is 3 Again i was told the Husky Centerline will not work with 3inch rail ? Will the other 2 work with the 3inch rail? Thanks for all your help

Typically tongue weight for a travel trailer is right at 10 percent of the total trailer weight and sometimes up to 15 percent. So for a 4,000 lb trailer you'd most likely have a 400 lb tongue weight but could possibly have a 600 lb tongue weight.
The great news is that the Husky Centerline kit part # HT32215 has a tongue weight range of 400 to 600 lbs just like what you'd need so this kit would work well for you.
If you can find a scale near you for measuring the weights of vehicle you could use it for just the tongue weight of the trailer to find out that way too.

Thanks was great info. To mention again. My GVWR is 4000lbs loaded. My unloaded weight is about 2900lbs. My tongue weight including front power jack is approx 340lbs. Again is this the correct hitch assembly? Additionally i believe i have seen some comment about trailer frame rail height that the hitch wont work with a 3inch vertical rail. I sure hope it does. Thank you
