DOT Codes on # AM10235 Trailer Tires

Question:

Hello, i came across these tires #AM10235 and hope they would be recommend to be ok to use on my 2013 coleman 19foot travel trailer may be over kill, but thats ok !! Also if i were to order through etrailer.com , my concern would be if they are newer/current DOT number How can i be assured they would be current ??? new DOT number ??? Thanks and i recently made a first time purchase with trailer .com for a Drawtite hitch and am very happy so far !! hoping i will be happy if i order these tires? BUT again would want to be assured they are a newer current DOT number , would not want to get and have to return some with an older DOT number !! THANKS

First of all thanks for your previous purchase. Of course we love repeat customers.

As for the 205/75R14 tires, part # AM10235, they're a radial tire with a maximum capacity of 2,200 pounds at 75 psi. Date codes are of course important but maybe not as much as a lot of research leads you to believe. As long as the tires were manufactured within the last couple of years they're still good tires as long as they're store properly out of the elements. We keep our tires in our warehouse so they're well protected. We also move tires fairly quickly so they don't hang around here long. I just went out to our warehouse and looked at part # AM10235 which have a DOT code of 4617. This means they were made in the 46th month of 2017. If my math serves me correctly they were manufactured the week of Thanksgiving last year so they're only about 4 months old at the time of this answer.
