Question:
My water hose expanded by a third, so I replaced it. The RV store guy said I needed to get a pressure regulator. I had one, havent used for a long time, put it on, it was up in the red. I got a new one preset at 40-50, the water dribbles out. Said all that to ask this your hose 22833 says its rated at 300 psi, if I get your regulator with a gauge can I set it higher so the water comes out at a better stream ?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Camco Premium RV Drinking Water Hose - 5/8" Inner Diameter - 25' Long # CAM22833 is a very durable hose that will handle the pressure. You just want to make sure your system can handle the pressure. If you want to reduce the pressure so you don't get a shower from the kitchen sink, then I recommend using the Camco RV Water Pressure Regulator w/ Gauge - Brass # CAM40064. This will regulate the water pressure to the 40-50 psi to protect your hose and equipment, but it also will allow a high-flow of 15-20 percent more than other regulators.
