Can the Ranch Hitch Gooseneck Adapter be Used With Short Bed Ford F-250?

2014 F-250 6-3/4foot bed. With this set-up can I use the AM3139 adapter?

The Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3139 has an 8" offset and is designed for use with short bed trucks like your 2014 Ford F-250 but there are a couple of other facets you need to be aware of as well.

This adapter requires at least 5" between the overhang of your trailer and the top of your F-250's side rails and must be used with standard pin boxes only, as opposed to a cushioned or air ride pin box. You are going to need to back your truck into position as if you were hooking up your trailer (making sure you are on level ground). From there, measure from the bottom of your pin box to the top of the gooseneck ball in your truck bed; this measurement should be between 11-3/4" and 14-3/4" for the adapter to work.
