Question:
What is the hanger spacing required for this APT4 kit with 4 leaf 25 1/8 double eye springs? Part number on the springs e54SR.

Expert Reply:
The position of the axle should dictate the position of the springs and hangers not the other way around. With that being said, in order to determine proper placement of the hangers you will want to take the the distance between the two eye holes on the leaf spring which on part # e54SR is 25-1/8". Add that to half of the length of the equalizer from the center of the two lower bolt boles which for the one included in part # APT4 is 3-1/8". You would then need to subtract 1/2" for the shackle strap from the above (25-1/8"+3-1/8") which brings you to a grand total of 27-3/4" apart on center.
I have attached a dimensional drawing of this illustration for you as well.
