It states that Undercar trimming not fascia required what does this refer to? Will I have to cut out part of the bumper?

For installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C13065, on your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you will need to trim excess caulk on vehicle frame rails, only if it interferes with hitch installation, see instructions link. I have added a photo showing where the excess caulk is likely to interfere and need to be trimmed.
No part of the bumper or fascia will need to be trimmed.
