Question:

We traded in our older F150 for a 2017 Lariat F150 Crew Cab with a 56inch box basic model of the Lariat. Towing last summer was miserable. Lots of sway and we needed to constantly correct the steering. Very tiring especially between here in Toronto to Nashville and back to see the Solar eclipse last summer. What would you recommend to correct this issue? Do you have any dealers up here in Toronto Canada that might best install the devices? Thanks!

What kind of trailer are you towing? The best thing to use to prevent sway is a weight distribution system with built in sway control. If you are interested in that then let me know the gross trailer weight if it is a travel trailer (bumper pull). If it is a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer then there is no sway control for those.

For your truck though adding some suspension enhancement will help some. RoadActive suspension # RAS3611-Y is a good option because it does offer some adjustability and will help keep the ride more stable. This is the model for 4x4s. If your truck is a 2-wheel drive model use # RAS3611-B.

Another option that works in a similar way but lacks adjustability is the SuperSprings # SSA28. They will work to reduce sway as well. There are fewer parts to these springs compared to an active system so you would just install them and be done. Either of these products would also have a minimal impact on the empty ride quality which is a good thing!
