Troubleshooting 2014 Ram 3500 Trailer Fuses and Trailer Lights That Do Not Work

Question:

2014 dodge3500 my trailer lights quit working I dont see any blown fuses,but are the cartridge fuses hard to tell ?

You will want to test your vehicle's 7-way and the trailer separately to find out where your lighting power loss is occurring.

Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test each lighting circuit on the Ram's 7-way socket. You can refer to the linked photo and article for help with which pin carries which function. Check fuse positions F28 (20-amp) , F29 (20-amp) and F30 (30-amp). You can try a new fuse as an easy way to check.

If you have power on the 7-way then test the trailer on its own (when it is not connected to the truck) by applying 12V battery power directly to each circuit, one at a time, to see if the lights work when directly fed 12V power in this way. If they do work, then you know the issue is on the truck side.
