Will a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Fit Roadmaster Tow Dolly RM-2050-1

Question:

I own a 2006 VW Beetle Conv. I noticed that the tie-down straps for this dolly are listed at 12-16. The outside to outside diameter of the tires is 25. Hence, Im gathering the straps supplied will not fit? If so, are there replacements that can be swapped?

The Roadmaster tow dolly # RM-2050-1 is limited to vehicle tires with 12 to 16 inch wheels. This is the wheel size not the overall tire diameter. It looks like the stock tire size on the 2006 VW Beetle was 205/55-16. If that is the size you have on your Beetle then it will fit the tow dolly. Based on the overall tire diameter you provided I would say that it is likely that you have 205/55-16 tires.

The dolly only accepts wheels up to 16 inches in diameter. Roadmaster only has the one size wheel straps and says that larger wheel sizes tend not to fit this dolly.
