Question:
I have a 2007 Jayco Jay feather exp featherlight. I am towing it with a 2008 Toyota Tacoma with the towing capacity of 6500 pounds. Unloaded weight of the trailer is 4055, hitch weight 545, gross vehicle weight 5500 pounds, cargo capacity of what 1445 pounds. Would a 6000 pound maximum weight distribution hitch be fine or should I get a larger hitch? Could I get a larger hitch so if I upgraded campers I wouldn’t need to get a new hitch in the future?

Since your tongue weight is 545 lb unloaded you'd need a higher rated system than 600 lbs for when you are loaded.
I'd go with the Reese Strait Line system part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and features the only sway control that works to prevent sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
