Question:
I bought an aluminum car hauler trailer with two 3500 pound torsion axles, I bought a set of 10 inch drum electric brakes for the axle but once i got it apart realized that the axles do not have spindles, but bolt in one piece hubs that grease from the back side. the hubs that came off the axle have a rectangular mounting flange well the brakes have the standard square mounting flange. i have looked and looked online and can not fine a single thing about these axles... i also can not find any brakes with a rectangular mounting flange. i drilled the pattern to fit my axle, but the electric magnet makes contact with the back of the studs on the hub when installed. Obviously that is not going to work. Can you point me in the right direction to a set of replacement hubs and the right electric brakes? any help would be greatly appreciated...

The only axles we have hubs for that do not have spindles are the Replacement Hub Assembly for Demco Kar Kaddy Tow Dolly - Qty 1 # DM04369 These have the rectangular mount you mentioned but we do not have any brake options for these hubs.
If you want electric brakes and hub-drums, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs - Straight Spindle - 3,500 lbs # A35RS545E which will replace your current axles completely. They will give you the suspension, spindles, hubs, and brake assemblies needed. They can be used in tandem axle applications and require a 2 inch square tube (not included) to use in the integrated holes. I've attached a video to assist.
Because you have an aluminum frame, I recommend using some vinyl between your assemblies and your frame. The powder coat should prevent any corrosion but I'd personally also use the vinyl as an extra precaution. This system will work very well for your application.
Let me know if you have further questions.
