Question:
Will the safari rack mount to my 2007 suburbans roof rack or do I need a kit? Also, what are the different sizes? I want a big rack that doesnt cover the sunroof. I tried to send a pic but my phone and I dont seem to see eye to eye.

I checked with Surco and they list Safari Rack # SPS5084-1101 as the proper fit for your 2007 Chevy Suburban. This version comes with adapters to attach the basket to the factory side rails on your Suburban. Side rails run front to back. The basket does not attach to crossbars that run side to side.
As for the different sizes available with the correct adapters the 50 inch width will be needed for a proper fit but there is # SPS5060-1101 at 60 inches long.
Another option for most aftermarket and factory roof rack crossbars you could use the Rhino-Rack carrier # RMCB02. It is 57 inches long and 42 inches wide. The mounts used to attach it to the crossbars are adjustable which will allow you to place the basket so as not to block the sunroof; or at least not block it as much.
