Updated 02/13/2018 | Published 02/12/2018

Question:

I currently have a Demco DM8669112 that I want to replace to move to: - No in the hitch - Move from drum to disc brakes w/electronic lockout Can I install the T4747220 using the same large mounting holes as I used for the Demco? I tried looking at the pictures online, but it was unclear. Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:

The bolt hole dimensions of the Demco Brake Actuator # DM8669112 are 12-1/2 inches on center and 3 inches on center. I've attached a photo to assist.

The Titan # T4747220 has mounting holes that are 3 inch on center so 2 of the 3 holes will align with your current coupler.

Instead of changing out your entire coupler, you may want to simply change out your master cylinder on your Demco Actuator using the Replacement Master Cylinder for Demco Actuators - Disc Brakes # 5672. This will be a fit and will allow you to use your coupler for disc brakes. To add the electric lockout, I recommend the Replacement Solenoid Valve # T4748800 which will work with your coupler.
