Question:

I flat 4 wheel tow a 2016 Ford Edge SEL which has to have the negative battery cable disconnected. Your Roadmaster RM-766 eliminates the need to pull the cable. I do not have a supplemental braking system installed. Can I still use the RM-766 without the sup. braking system?

Yes, you can use the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766 in your 2016 Ford Edge SEL even if you are not using a supplemental braking system.

Since supplemental braking systems are required in most states (and they are a good idea even if it isn't required), most people will use this with the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to keep their battery charged and ready to go.

If you find that you would like to add a supplemental braking system to your setup due to traffic laws or personal preference then I highly recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251.
