Question:
Can you also use the stationary extension as a hitch mount? The part that is basically an extension of the original mount hole? I would like to mount my dirtbike hauler on the lower whole to keep it closer to the ground when not hauling bicycles.

The lower square tube on the Kuat Pivot # PVP20B is not designed or rated for use with any type of accessory. It also is not set up for it (no pin holes) so it is not a good option for your application. We do have adapter # RM-072-2 which has a 400 pound tongue weight capacity and 2 inch drop. However if you use it or anything similar it will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent.
