Question:

Just purchased a 2018 RAM 2500 and the bed rails are high. F/W dealer said its going to be an issue hauling a lighter weight 30foot fifth wheel? Dealer didnt bother to inform us it might be an issue when we purchased the truck. UGH!

For your 2018 Ram 2500, we haven't had anyone say they couldn't find a 5th wheel fit. You will want to go with a hitch that has the higher height adjustment and then you'll want to make sure your pin box of your trailer is adjustable as well. I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3200 which will use standard rails and will adjust up to 19 inches tall. This is a very strong hitch that is made in the USA.

For your rails, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56009-53. These are easier to install, a custom fit for your truck, and give you a little more height than the other options. These rails are 1-7/8 inches tall compared to the standard 1-1/8 inches so you get 3/4 inches of extra height.

I also recommend you consider the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness 7-Pole # C56000 to add a wiring connection to the bed of your truck for greater accessibility and connection.

Bought a flagstaff trailer. Have a 2019 dodge 2500 with puck set up. Need to find adapter plate and possible hitch. Came with pull rite hitch but plate keeps breaking from trailer. Have a 6.5 bed

Assuming your PullRite Hitch attaches to industry-standard rails, the Reese # RP30154 is a good replacement for the adapter on your Ram 2500. If you want to go with a completely new setup I really like the Demco Hijacker # DM8550035 with Adapter Rails # DM6099.
