Auto-Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2025 Ram 2500

Question:

Hey etrailer! I'm upgrading to a 2025 Ram 2500 6.5 bed puck kit and I'm wanting to upgrade my 5th wheel hitch as well. I know I need a slider but I don't want to use a manual style anymore. What automatic sliding hitch do you all recommend?

Hey Larry, congrats on the new truck!

Auto-sliding hitches really do increase the quality of towing experience, so I definitely get why you're wanting to upgrade. I recommend picking up the PullRite SuperGlide # PUL28RR for a few reasons; it uses low-friction plates for a seamless turning experience, a single wraparound jaw for a smooth ride, and removeable pins for the OEM pucks so it's much easier to install to the pucks in your truck.

Please note that you do need a pin box-specific capture plate in order for this system to work. If you let me know what pin box model you have (info can be found on the sticker on the side of the box) I can help you make sure we get the right one.
