Question:
Does the Drawtite receiver 75761 need stabilizing straps when using a bike rack? I see the Curt C13140 requires one. Both look like a good product .Thanks

The stabilizing strap, part # 18050 is required for Curt hitches like part # C13140 to qualify for Curt's warranty when carrying non-trailer loads like bike racks. Functionally speaking, it helps the load remain more stable while you drive, and helps improve the performance of anti-rattle devices that are commonly found on bike racks. I've included a video that helps show the difference in performance with and without this strap.
In terms of performance, you'll want to double check your vehicle's load capacity in your owner's manual and pick the hitch that is the closest to the vehicle's capacity to get the most out of your vehicle.
