How to Choose the Correct Exterior RV Ladder for a Jayco Trailer

Question:

I was wondering how to measure exactly to determine which length ladder I need. Is it just bottom to top or do I need to add for the part that sticks up above the roof. Thanks

The height of our RV ladders are calculated by measuring from top to bottom. We offer exterior ladders ranging from 84-1/2" to 99-1/2" tall. However, most of them such as the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder part # LA-401 are customizable meaning they can be trimmed to the exact height you need.

The above ladder should work well for you. It is constructed of a lightweight aluminium and comes with all the mounting hardware and brackets you will need for installation. The best feature of the ladder is that it has a hinge which is used to accommodate RV's with curved or angled exterior walls.

I have attached a photo of the ladder's dimensions for you as well.

2021 Jayco SLX 17bh. I want to add a rear ladder any suggestions? ... and where are the studs that secure it on the trailer? will it void the warranty on the one piece roof system.. any help. Thanks

A universal ladder like the Stromberg Carlson # LA-401 is your best option for adding a rear ladder to your Jayco trailer since it can be cut to size. There's not a way to know where appropriate studs for mounting are located on this model trailer - that's just something you'll need to verify during (or before) installation.

All of our replacement ladder options are universal so we don't have one that is an exact replacement for your Jayco. The ladder that Conner mentions above is what we've found most people are able to use.
