Could Off Road Tires Be Used with Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Utility Trailer
Published 01/12/2018 >
Question:
I would like to tow the DK2 behind a Tacoma 4x4 Offroad, and would like a bit more clearance for some gnarly terrain and compatibility with Tacoma tires so I can have interchangeable spares. I know I will have to modify fenders. The current DK2 is 5 lug 5.3-12 The Tacoma is 6 lug 265/70R16 Any DIY hub change suggestions that dont blow past the value of the DK2? Thank you

We don't have any trailer tires we can recommend that are intended for offroad use. The wheels have a bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2 inch so if you found a set of wheels and tires with a zero offset with a tire that's as aggressive as you'd need this could work. But since the tire size is smaller it would take some fender modification to fit on the Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Utility Trailer # K2MMT5X7.
There isn't a way though to install hubs with a 6 lug pattern on the axle though.
