Tonneau Cover/Ladder Rack Combination for a 2006 Nissan TitanCrew Cab 5-1/2 foot Bed w/Utili-Track

Published 01/05/2018

Question:

I have 2006 Nissan Titan crew cab. I am wanting to put on a ladder rack and also have a tonneau cover. Is this a possibility with this truck. I am going to be using the rack mostly for canoe/kayak hauling, but would also utilize it for other uses.

The only tonneau cover/ladder rack combination that we have available for your 2006 Nissan Titan (which is the same situation for most pickups) Crew Cab 5-1/2 foot Bed w/Utili-Track system is the BAK Revolver X2 # BAK39505 and the TracRac SR # TH43002XT-606. Since just about every ladder rack installs in the stake pockets or by clamping on the side rails of your truck on the inside there are very few options available.

The best part about this is that these are 2 of the best products that we have to offer. I actually would recommend either one as a stand-alone product if you were not interested in both. The Revolver X2 is a unique tonneau cover because it combines the sleek look of a soft tonneau cover with the strength and security of a hard tonneau cover. It is a roll up option that has latches to lock in place so that you cannot simply lift up on the side to access your truck bed. The tailgate will need to be opened to open up this cover making it more difficult for someone to steal something from your Titan.

The TracRac SR is a sliding ladder rack which offers a weight capacity of 1,250 lbs. This is much higher than most ladder racks so it can be used for a wide variety of applications. If you would like to utilize the Over-the-Cab extension you can either purchase that separate with part # TH24002XT or just buy it as a whole kit with part # TH43002XT-606EX.

You can then use the Thule Stacker # TH830 with the Thule Xadapt3 # THXADAPT3 to carry your kayaks or canoes.
