Question:

Dear Sirs, I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4, I was looking at buying your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - 13251. It looks the bumper is the same as mine. I wanted to ask you if you sell the hitch and ball that apparently goes inside this mechanism? Thank you in advance.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 13251, is confirmed to fit your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. If your Jeep has a rear factory tow hook it'll need to be removed.

The recommended ball mount for the Curt receiver is part # C45030. It has a 1 inch rise or 2-1/4 inch drop. You need to determine the rise or drop you need for your trailer. I've attached an article to help with this. If this ball mount doesn't work for you I've also linked our complete selection of ball mounts to fit the Curt hitch.

For a 2 inch hitch ball use # 63845 or if you need a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19260. They both fit the Curt ball mount. If you choose a different ball mount you'll need to find a hitch ball to fit.

The standard pin and clip that fits is # PC3.

To tow a trailer you also need a wiring harness. Use the Tekonsha, part # 118425, for a 4-way connector. This supplies power to the trailer's lights. It plugs in behind both tail lights.
