Question:
Hi, I own a 2014 Honda Accord Sport and would like to put a motorcycle carrier on it. I see theres 2 hitch options but their class 1 hitches w/ a tongue weight of 200lbs., well my enduro bike is 291lbs. Do you have a suggestion of a hitch and motorcycle carrier for my Honda accord? Id rather not do a trailer if I dont have to! Thank you!

The available trailer hitches for your 2014 Honda Accord Sport are all Class I hitches that feature a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The Curt Trailer Hitch # C11496, which is confirmed to fit your vehicle, has a 200 pound tongue weight capacity. There is not a trailer hitch available for your vehicle that features a higher tongue weight capacity. This is likely because the vehicle itself is not rated for heavier loads, as hitch manufacturers will typically try to match hitch capacities with the vehicles they are designed to install on.
Your 291 pound Enduro Bike exceeds the tongue weight capacity of the hitch, without factoring in the weight of the carrier itself. With this in mind, the only way to transport your bike will indeed be with a small trailer, such as the Detail K2 # K2MMT5X7.
If you do decide to go this route, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Harness # 118596 if your sedan does not have the LED taillights or # C56173 if you do have the LED taillights. Both custom-fit harnesses will install by connecting directly to the built-in ports behind the driver and passenger side tail lights, inside the trunk. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's signal lights.
To tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
