What should I look for that would determine when the shock should be replaced?

Expert Reply:
Shocks slow the rebound and movement of the two parts they are installed on. So if all of a sudden your Trailair pin box becomes much harsher when at the correct air pressure for your trailer that would indicate that the shock is bad and in need of replacing. Or if it looks psychically damaged as well.
