Installing the Swagman X Mount Storage Unit In Alternate Configurations.

Can this be installed on the floor?

Technically, yes, you could install the Swagman X Mount, part # S80940 on the floor and use the trailer ball mount storage area as a mount for a bike rack, however there is a good chance that it would not be as stable as when its installed on the wall and holding the rack up.
This could also be installed in the wall along the floor point by rotating the T so it points upwards instead, though this would make the ball mount storage unuseable.
