First, in order to use Trailer Wiring Harness, # 118381, your 2002 Dodge Durango will need to be equipped with a factory tow package. If it does have a factory tow package, check the owners manual to find the fuses and/or relays related to the tow package to determine if anything is missing or needs to be replaced.
If the Durango does not have a tow package, you will need to use a different wiring harness, # 118334. This harness plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing a typical installation of this harness for you to view.
