Question:

I need a product similar to the Folding, Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier - U-Bolt Mount Item # TR-2, but able to handle a 75 pound dual tire/wheel for my Class C. Is there such a product? Thanks,

I do have a solution for you, however as you referenced, the Stromberg Carlson Folding Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier # TR-2 will not work for Class C motorhome tires or dual rim wheels.

In order to mount your 75 pound Class C tire, I recommend looking into a hitch-mounted carrier like the Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # C31006. This is compatible with a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and will provide the capacity needed to safely secure your dually axle wheel and tire. If you do not have a trailer hitch installed on your motorhome, you can use the Ultra-Fab 2 Inch Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver # UF35-946402. This is designed for 4 inch x 4 inch bumpers and will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening.

The standard frame mount spare tire carriers we currently have available do not have the needed capacity to secure your Class C motorhome 75 pound tire and wheel.

We actually have the perfect solution for this application with the Roadmaster # RM-195225. This will insert into the 2" receiver on your RV and provides an additional receiver at the other end so you can hook up the tow bar. In between is a mount for your spare tire.
