Do you.use teflon tape or pipe dope on the fittings

Roadmaster recommends using liquid thread sealant on any threaded fittings that are not compression fittings on the Replacement Quick Exhaust Valve for Roadmaster BrakeMaster # RM-450601-50. I recommend using the Loctite Thread Sealant 545 - Purple - Non-Contaminating Thread and Pipe Sealer # LT37482.
