Question:
We are picking up this camper from Florida and need to know the ball size of this camper. Friends are putting on the class 3 hitch for our 2000 Pontiac Montana Van, but the seller doesnt know the ball size. These same friends said it should be either 2 or 2 5/16, I think that is the weird size. Can you help?

Expert Reply:
2 inch or 2-5/16 inch diameter balls are pretty standard sized balls, it is not surprising that the coupler on the 1997 Coleman camper accepts either one of those sizes.
For a 2 inch ball I would recommend a Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter and Medium Shank, part # 19247.
If you need a ball mount as well I would recommend a Ball Mount 2-3/4 inch Rise or 4 inch Drop, part # 2753.
