Trailer Tire in Size ST175/80R13 with Higher Speed Rating

Question:
I was reading about your tire inch Karrier st175/80R13 load range D is 65 mph speed rating compared to the inch Westlake st175/80R13 Load range C is 75 mph speed rating I am confused. I thought the load range letter D had the higher speed ratting. could you clear that up for me. I dont plan to go that fast with my trailer. but like having the option. because of the heat. I am researching tires before i buy. thanks

The Load Range of a tire is related to the weight capacity of the tire and not the speed rating. We have a tire in that size with a higher speed rating at 81 mph. For that you'd want the part # TTWTRTM1758013C.
This has a max load rating of 1,360 lbs at 50 psi as well.
