The Gorilla-Lift Tailgate Lift Assist, # GL1 is one of my favorite products on our website. This system uses stainless steel cables with sturdy springs to make it easy to raise and lower the tailgate on your open utility trailer. Both sides of the gate are lifted evenly which prevents warping of your gate. The total length of the cable is 58" and it is attached to the dual springs, which are 25". Approximately 10" - 11" of the cable are visible outside of the unit when it is not in use. I've attached a video of the installation so you can see what it entails.
