Recommended Bike Rack for 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

Question:
Looking to get my husband a bike rack for his 2008 jeep wrangler Sahara for his birthday. His jeep doesnt have a hitch but does have a spare tire. Any help in good choices to start with would be muchly appreciated.

I would recommend the Yakima SpareTime, part # Y02598, which Yakima has confirmed will fit your husbands Jeep. This carrier accommodates 2 bicycles, and will work with spare tires up to 12-1/2 inches thick. Unlike other racks, Yakima offers a lifetime warranty, as well as an integrated bottle opener for that after-ride refreshment. The rack is also lockable, to help prevent theft of the rack. A locking cable for securing the bikes to the rack is also included.
