Question:

I am looking for something to help me load and unload my fishing kayak easier. I drive a 2013 Toyota rav 4 and currently have the factory cross bars and a set of rola j racks. My kayak is around 60 pounds and about 12 ft long so holding over my head and placing it on the car is kind of a pain. If you could let me know if the ina453 will work with the factory bars and how long the side extension arm is. In the photos on your site the bars extend to the edge of the roof unlike the factory bars. Please any info would be helpful. Thanks.

The Inno Kayak Lifter Load Assist - Clamp On - Side Loading - 90 lbs Item # INA453 will fit factory crossbars up to 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-1/8 inches tall. Measure the bars on your 2013 Toyota RAV4 to determine if they meet those specs.

The swing-out arm is 18 inches long and the base bar is 43 inches long. With roof rack bars that do not extend out past the side rails that 18 inch swing arm length may or may not be long enough for you.

A similar option is the Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist - Crossbar Mount - Side Loading - 132 lbs Item # RR-RUSL. It comes with several roof rack bar attachment pieces and surely there is a set that will work with your crossbars. This item will give you more length than the 18 inch swing arm on the Inno.
