The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885 and # 3034-P, will be all that you need to bypass you factory controller. This brake controller will hook up to your 2012 Ford F350 and bypass the factory controller.
The Ford factory brake controller that is in the dash does not have to be removed. You will need to unplug the connector under the dash and plug in the # 3034-P adapter for the Prodigy P2 brake controller to the factory brake controller plug behind the dash.
The vehicle will need the computer flashed so it will keep from searching for the connection to the OEM brake controller in the future, eliminating any fault codes. This will usually have to be done at the Ford Dealer.
