Question:
We intalled a relay under the spare tire because the service trailer brake system light was on a d still on do u have to reset something

It is highly likely that you have a short circuit or a bad ground in your system to create that error. The system should reset itself when the problem is fixed, so I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 and going through the wiring functions of your brake controller so you can find the issue. I've attached an article to assist in testing the functions of a brake controller whether it is an integrated controller or not.
