Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2014 Honda CR-V

The Roadmaster Falcon part # RM-520 is a very popular and great tow bar. You have the crossbar assembly part # 910021-00 that comes with it which means you can use either base plate kit you mentioned. The difference is that the EZ5 # RM-521567-5 does NOT require the use of that crossbar and the EX4 part # RM-521567-4 does. I prefer simpler installs that require fewer parts whenever available so if it were me I would go with the EZ5 part # RM-521567-5 which does not need the bar. I attached an install video for more info as well. For safety cables you can use # RM-643. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground. For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV. And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles. Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I checked and you don't need the brake light relay, you do need to go with a lighting solution though since you can't use trailer wiring as tow bar lighting. If you wanted something a bit less invasive to install though we have the Hopkins kit part # HM56304 which plugs inline with your vehicle taillights. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
