Surge Protection Recommendation for When Operating RV on 30 Amp Power Source
Published 09/13/2017 >
Question:
I have a 2017 Keystone Laredo, 38foot with two ac units. It is wired for 50 amps. However, sometimes we are in a situation where only 30 amp is available and we have a converter. In those cases we are careful to only use one AC unit at a time. The question is what do we do about surge protection? Do we need two surge protectors?

What you'd want is a 30 amp surge protector like part # CAM55301 when you are using your setup on a 30 amp power source. You'd just need to plug this in line with your 30 amp wiring.
